Kimberly is a graduate of Miller-Motte College in Wilmington NC. She has been a therapist since 2009. Her specialties include Deep Tissue Massage, Trigger Point Therapy, Therapeutic Massage, and Swedish Massage. She can vary her pressure from light to deep. She enjoys helping her clients leave feeling better and rejuvenated! She makes sure to customize each massage to her clients' preferences to ensure they leave feeling rejuvenated. Kim also enjoys Hot Stone and Prenatal Massages.
Katelynn has been with Island Massage & Spa since its doors opened in 2014. She started out working the front desk after high school. She graduated from Miller Motte College in Wilmington, 2018. Where she received her Massage & Bodywork Therapist License. She then continued her education at Cape Fear Community College under the Esthetics Program and received her Esthetician License. Katelynn specializes in Deep Tissue & Therapeutic Massage and enjoys giving clients treatment plans and goals for skin care.
Angela grew up as an army kid traveling all over the country. She is Graduate of Miller Motte College in Wilmington and has been a therapist for over
7 years. She is the master of all modalities including Deep Tissue, Therapeutic, Swedish and Thai Massages. Her main objective is to help individuals lead healthier, pain free lives through therapeutic touch and healing. She loves
to help educate individuals on the importance of self-care.
Kayla is a sophomore at UNCW, and comes from a small town near the Lake Norman Area. She is an Exercise Science Major, wanting to pursue a career in Physical Therapy. She is very passionate about helping others and cannot wait to continue her wellness journey while working at Island Massage & Spa!
She is a rising senior at Ashley High School, and has been working for IMS over a year now. It is her goal after graduation to enter into an Esthetics Program to continue her education. She is a spiritual young lady and an old soul who we have the pleasure of having working at the spa.
Jacob has lived in Carolina Beach most of his life. He graduated from Ashley High School in 2019 and plans on enrolling in Massage therapy school. He enjoys helping people and can't wait to begin his journey at IMS so he can continue making a difference in peoples lives.
Kolton is currently enrolled in Massage School at College of Wilmington. He is putting in hard work as a full time student in the accelerated program, as well as working for a popular local restaurant in Carolina Beach, and at our Front Desk part time! He has listened to his mom Katrina and sister Katelynn talk about the family business at the dinner table for years and has always had an interest in natural medicine, he is a natural healer and an empath. Kolton is excited to join the family business and take on this new adventure learning about the Health and Wellness Industry.
Katrina is a Minnesota native and attended Minneapolis Business College for Business and Graphic Design. With a strong desire to help others, she decided to return back to school to pursue a career in health care and ultimately ended up finding a passion for massage. She received her Massage & Bodywork education at Miller Motte College in Wilmington, NC. She has experience working in healthcare as a Nursing Assistant, Chiropractic Office Manager and Assistant and now a Licensed Massage & Bodywork Therapist. Her massage resume also includes Miller Motte College Massage Clinic, Chiropractic Medical Massage, as well as her own Private Practice in Carolina Beach. She converted her private practice the spring of 2014 and opened Island Massage & Spa, a family owned and operated, multi service and multi therapist Beach Boutique Day Spa!
Katrina believes in customizing each massage based on the clients needs that day. She is well known and highly recommended for her intuitive deep pressure, neuromuscular and therapeutic touch, but is more than happy to vary the pressure from light and relaxing too deep by request.
